1. Scope
These terms apply to the Migrant Guide iOS app and to the website urenmobile.de. The provider is the person or company named in the legal notice (“we”). By using the app or the website you agree to these terms.
2. What the app is — and what it is not
Migrant Guide provides information, not advice. The content is general orientation and expressly does not constitute legal, tax, immigration or social welfare advice. It replaces neither information from the competent authority nor advice from a qualified professional.
Administrative procedures in Germany differ by federal state, district and individual case; laws, responsibilities, deadlines and forms change. Always verify important steps with the competent office before you act.
3. No warranty for content
Content is prepared with care and carries a date of last review. We give no warranty as to accuracy, completeness or currency. Liability for damage arising from reliance on the information provided is excluded, except in cases of intent or gross negligence, or where liability is mandatory by law (in particular for injury to life, body or health).
4. Citizenship test
The app contains the questions of the official German naturalisation test catalogue as practice material. It is not an official service, has no connection to the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees or any other authority, and passing a practice test says nothing about the outcome of the official examination. Only the current official catalogue is authoritative.
5. External links and local services
The app links to websites of authorities, advice centres, associations and communities, and lists addresses, phone numbers and opening hours. We reproduce this information to the best of our knowledge; the respective providers alone are responsible for the content, availability and quality of their services. Listing is not an endorsement and implies no cooperation.
6. Availability and changes
Use is free of charge. There is no entitlement to continuous availability, to particular features, or to the continued existence of individual content. We may change, restrict or discontinue features and content at any time. Content is loaded from a content management system; parts of the app do not work without an internet connection.
7. Advertising
The app is funded by advertising and displays ad banners (Google AdMob). Personalised advertising is served only with your consent; you are asked on first launch and can change your decision. Details are in the privacy policy. Advertising content comes from third parties and we take no responsibility for it.
8. Planned additional services
Optional in-app purchases are planned — in particular ad-free use and a voluntary contribution. They are not currently active. Purchase, billing, refunds and restoration will then run through the App Store under Apple's terms. Prices shown in the app are non-binding placeholders until activation.
9. Copyright and use of content
Texts, design, logo and the compilation of content are protected by copyright. You may use, store and print the content for your personal purposes. Systematic reproduction, automated retrieval (scraping) and commercial reuse are not permitted without our consent. The official question catalogue is an official source subject to its own rules.
10. User obligations
You agree not to misuse the app, in particular not to circumvent technical protection measures, overload the infrastructure, or retrieve content in an automated manner.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when features or the legal situation change. The current version is available on this page with its date. We announce material changes in the app.
12. Applicable law
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.
13. Severability
Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
